Office and business moves

When a company moves, it is not only furniture at stake. It is operating time, data integrity, how your staff experience the change, and a Monday morning where everything has to work from the first cup of coffee. We plan the move so that it does.

Holte Flyt's truck on its way to a business move in North Zealand

A business move that does not disrupt operations

A business move is a logistics exercise, not just transport. Whether you call it an office move, a business relocation or an internal reorganisation, the job is the same: get the company safely forward without losing operating time. That takes planning, coordination, clear agreements about timing, and a crew that can turn up outside normal working hours. Evening and weekend work carries a surcharge, and it is always stated in the quote.

We have moved everything from small law offices on Hovedgaden in Birkerød to large laboratories in Pharma Science Park in Hillerød. We have moved clinics, restaurants, shops, warehouses and public institutions. We have seen most of the ways this goes wrong when it is not planned properly.

What makes our business moves different

We work weekends. We typically run Friday evening to Sunday evening so you do not lose production time. Weekend and evening work carries a surcharge, always shown in the quote.

Systematic labelling. We draw up the new premises, number the rooms and colour-code the boxes. When the truck arrives, every mover knows exactly where each box goes.

IT coordination. We always talk to whoever owns IT about how servers, network and workstations are handled. We have done this for small offices and for larger tech companies, and we adapt to your procedure rather than imposing ours.

GDPR and confidentiality. Archives, client files and confidential material are packed in lockable boxes, transported directly and handed to the right person. We can document the chain of custody if you need it.

We move companies across North Zealand and greater Copenhagen

We have been moving companies in this area for more than fifty years. Typical destinations: Lyngby, Hørsholm, Hillerød, Helsingør, Copenhagen K, Frederiksberg, Gentofte and Allerød.

What does a business move cost?

Business moves are always priced after a survey. We assess the number of staff, the volume of fittings, the scale of the IT, parking and access, and anything needing special handling (artwork, plants, coffee machines, confidential archives). You then get one written quote with the hourly rate, the expected hours and a clear specification of what is included. It is an estimate, not a fixed sum: you pay for the hours we use, with nothing added on top. Book a survey or call 45 42 00 40 for a quick conversation.

How we work

Our process

From the first conversation to the last box in place. This is what a typical job looks like.

  1. 1. Survey and plan

We visit your current and future premises, talk to whoever runs facilities, and build a concrete plan: how many vehicles, how many people, how long, what needs special handling. Rooms and boxes get colour codes so nothing lands in the wrong place.

  2. 2. Quote and coordination

After the survey you get one written quote stating the hourly rate and the expected hours, so you can budget against a level. It is an estimate, not a fixed sum: you pay for the hours we actually use. We coordinate with your IT, the caretaker, the property manager and any contractors at the new address. Everything is agreed in writing.

  3. 3. Moving outside opening hours

We are happy to move at the weekend or in the evening so you do not lose production time. Servers and IT are handled according to your procedure, and if you pack yourselves we deliver boxes well in advance.

  4. 4. Monday morning everything works

When your staff arrive, their desk, chair, phone and boxes are exactly where they should be. We walk the premises with your contact person and clear any loose ends the same day.

FAQ

Questions about office and business moves

If your question is not here, you are always welcome to call.

What does a business move cost?

We come out and look at the premises, review access, IT equipment and the schedule you have to hit, and then send one written quote stating the hourly rate and the expected hours. A total figure always requires a survey, and even then it is an estimate: you pay for the hours we use, at the rate you know in advance.

Can you move our servers and IT equipment?

Yes. We have experience with servers, racks, switches and specialist equipment, and we always coordinate with your IT department on when things are powered down, how they travel and when they have to be back online. If you have an internal IT procedure we follow it. If you do not, we recommend writing one.

How long does an office move take?

A smaller office of eight to fifteen people is usually done in a single evening or over a weekend. A move of fifty or more people often runs Friday to Sunday so that everything is ready on Monday morning. We always plan backwards from "when does it have to work".

Do you handle GDPR-sensitive material?

Yes. Archives containing personal data, client files and confidential material are packed in lockable or sealed boxes, transported directly and handed to the responsible person at the new address. We have set routines and can document them on request.

Do you charge extra for evenings and weekends?

Yes. Weekend work carries a 25% surcharge, and after 22:00 the surcharge is 100%. It is always stated in the quote, so you know the price in advance.

Do you also move things internally within our own premises?

Yes. Internal moves are a large part of our business work. Swapping floors, reorganising departments or clearing a warehouse: we move fittings, workstations and archives around the building to your plan, usually outside opening hours.

Can you clear the old premises afterwards?

Yes. Clearance and removal are available as an add-on. We run our own haulage business with [containers and construction vehicles](/en/services/haulage-and-containers/), so we can handle anything from dismantled fittings to full containers of scrapped IT equipment.
