Holte Flytte- & Vognmandsforretning is a moving company north of Copenhagen, founded in 1897. We handle home and office moves in English, price them by the hour with no hidden fees, and store your belongings in our own heated warehouse if the new place is not ready.

Founded in 1897 and still based north of Copenhagen, now part of Ewalds ApS. We own our vans, our hoists and our warehouse, so nothing about your move gets subcontracted to a company you never spoke to.

What we can take off your hands
Pick the whole move or just the part you do not want to do yourself.
Office and business moves
Offices, archives and warehouses, including internal moves within the same building. Crew and vehicle count scale to the job.
Packing service
We pack, label by contents and destination room, wrap what is fragile, and take furniture apart. You can keep the boxes for 14 days after the move.
Storage
Wooden storage containers inside a heated, alarmed and video-monitored warehouse hall. Low humidity and a stable temperature, so paintings, documents and wood furniture keep.
Furniture hoist
An external hoist reaching up to 21 metres, for the pieces that will not go down a stairwell.
Waste containers
Open or closed containers delivered, collected and emptied. Delivery and collection are included in the quoted price.
Prices
What a move costs
Three things decide the price: how much there is to move, how far apart the addresses are, and how hard it is to get in and out. That is why we quote an honest hourly rate plus a concrete estimate, instead of a cubic-metre tariff that grows on the day.

Get a quoteDo your movers speak English?
Yes. Our office and our crews handle moves in English every month, for people relocating into and out of the Copenhagen area. Write or call and you will be answered in English.
How do you price a move?
You get an estimate after a short conversation or an on-site survey, and you pay for the hours we actually use at an hourly rate you know in advance. No hidden fees and no surcharges added on the day.
Are my belongings insured?
Yes. We are members of Dansk Møbeltransport Forening (DMF), and full moving insurance is included in the price rather than sold as an extra.
Can you move me to another country?
We drive regularly to Sweden, Norway and Germany, and can go further by arrangement. Ask for a quote and we will price the driving into the estimate from the start.
What if my new place is not ready yet?
We store your belongings in our own warehouse in Birkerød for as long as you need, then deliver them when the new place is ready. It is the same crew at both ends.
How much notice do you need?
Locally we can often be there the same day or the next if a team is free. For larger moves we recommend two to four weeks notice.
Tell us about the move
Send the addresses and roughly what needs moving, and you will have an estimate within one working day. Phone lines open at 09:00, Monday to Friday. The booking form is in Danish, but you are welcome to write your answers in English.
