When do you need a furniture hoist?
A furniture hoist is the answer when the furniture is too large, the staircase too narrow, or the floor too high for carrying to make sense. We typically see two situations.
Sofas and large shelving in apartment buildings: modern sofas can be close to three metres long, and many buildings from 1900 to 1930 have staircases that will not let anything that long round the turns. The hoist lifts them straight in through the window or balcony.
When it has to be quick: the lift simply makes the work more efficient. Furniture comes in through the window rather than up the stairs, and it is often cheaper to use the lift than to pay for the extra man-hours.

What a typical hoist job looks like
Our hoist is often in use in Lyngby, Hellerup, Frederiksberg, Helsingør, Holte and the rest of greater Copenhagen, where older apartment buildings with narrow staircases are common. We set the hoist up in front of the building, coordinate the closure with the caretaker, and have a crew of three or four ready both outside and inside.
