A business built on trust
Holte Flytte- & Vognmandsforretning was founded in 1897 by Jørgen Rasmussen with two horse-drawn wagons. The business has changed hands a few times since, and each time the people, the vehicles and the customers came with it. In 2026 we became part of Ewalds ApS, with Morten Ewald Gartmann as managing director. The team, the warehouse and the way we move are unchanged.

- 1897
The business is founded
Jørgen Rasmussen starts Holte Flytte- & Vognmandsforretning with two horse-drawn wagons and a handshake on a fair deal.
- 1919
The first truck
His son Hans Rasmussen takes over and replaces the horse-drawn wagon with the firm's first truck.
- 1963
The Pedersen family takes over
Ove M. Pedersen buys the business. The fleet is two demountable moving containers of 22 and 25 cubic metres, plus four tipper trucks.
- 1985
Containers arrive
We take over the container company Urban Hansen ApS with 30 containers and two hoist vehicles. The haulage side of the business takes its present shape.
- 2000
Our own warehouse in Birkerød
We buy Klintehøj Vænge 11 in Birkerød, 4,500 square metres with room for furniture storage and containers at the same address.
- 2026
Part of Ewalds ApS
The business becomes part of Ewalds ApS, with Morten Ewald Gartmann as managing director. The people, the vehicles and the agreements are the same.
