A haulage business since 1897

Holte Flytte- & Vognmandsforretning is a combined moving and haulage business, and that is not an accident. We started as a haulage business in 1897 and added moving later. Today we use the haulage side to support building and moving work across North Zealand, from a single waste container to several days of material transport on a large site.

We run our own trucks in several sizes, all with permanent drivers who have been with us for years. You meet the same faces every time, and our drivers know the roads, the weight limits and the local conditions in North Zealand in detail.

What people use our haulage service for

Waste containers for renovation and clearance. The most common use. We have containers at 5, 8, 14, 20 and 30 m³, covering everything from a bathroom renovation to clearing a whole house. We arrange permits if the container has to stand on the road.

Material transport to building sites. Bricks, plasterboard, insulation, windows, large machinery. We collect from the supplier and deliver to the site, often the same day.

Construction vehicles with a crane. When heavy things have to be lifted on a site, we have vehicles with a crane and hoisting mast. We often drive for private customers and contractors in the same week.

Removal without a container. You have a pile of old furniture, IT equipment or bedding to get rid of. We load the truck and drive straight to the recycling centre. Faster and cheaper than hiring a container for a one-day job.

Alongside a move. Many customers combine a home move or an office move with a container, so they can sort as they pack.

Our trucks run daily across North Zealand, greater Copenhagen and most of Zealand. Typical destinations: Birkerød, Holte, Lyngby, Hørsholm, Helsingør, Hillerød, Allerød, Farum, plus Copenhagen K, Frederiksberg, Gentofte and the rest of the capital area.

Containers have set rates by size and period, while waste, truck and crew are charged by use and by the time the job takes. You know the rates and the hourly price in advance and pay only for what you actually use, with nothing added on top. When you book with us there are no add-on charges. Everything below is part of the standard service.

How we work

Our process

From the first conversation to the last box in place. This is what a typical job looks like.

  1. 1. You tell us what you need

    A container for waste, a truck for building materials, or removal of scrapped fittings? We ask about the job and give a concrete estimate on the spot for most of them.

  2. 2. We deliver the equipment

    Containers are usually delivered within one to two working days locally. A truck with a driver is booked by the day or by the job. We arrange any permits if the container has to stand on the road.

  3. 3. We collect when you are done

    When the container is full or the job is finished, we collect the equipment and take it to the recycling centre or straight to its next destination. You pay only for the days you had it.

  4. 4. Clear prices, no surprises

    A container has a fixed price for delivery, collection and emptying based on your area, plus the waste charged per tonne and a daily hire rate. A truck with a driver is charged for the time we use, at an hourly rate you know in advance. If the container stands longer than agreed, you pay only for the extra days.

How quickly can I get a container?

Locally around Birkerød, Holte, Lyngby and Allerød we can often deliver the same day or the next, if one is free. For the wider area (Helsingør, Hillerød, Frederikssund) it is typically one to two working days.

Do I need a permit for the container to stand outside?

Not on private ground. If it has to stand on a public road or pavement, we apply to the council for a time-limited permit. There is a fee for the permit and it is shown in the quote. We handle the paperwork.

Can you coordinate a container with a move?

Yes, and it is a good idea. Many customers run a container alongside the move to sort as they go: what comes with them, what gets thrown out, what goes into storage. We coordinate it all and give you one quote.
